Paperboat Entertainment is now all set to host the open mic night 'BYOJ 2.0: Bring Your Own Jokes' in association with Nation Next as the media partner.

It was on November 13, 2016 that Nagpur witnessed the first ever open mic night – ‘BYOJ: Bring Your Own Jokes’ – for stand-up comedy in Central India. Paperboat Entertainment, spearheaded by Ankit Bhuptani and city stand-up comedian Jitesh Vasani, is now all set to host the second edition of BYOJ in association with Nation Next as the media partner. BYOJ 2.0 will be held on March 19, 2017, 7:30 pm onwards, at Chaos Theory – The Coworking space, WHC Road, Dharampeth, Nagpur.

The open mic night will be hosted by Jitesh who is a well-known stand-up comedian in Nagpur and has performed at quite a few open mic nights at metro cities like Mumbai and Bengaluru. The entry for the audience is free and the doors will shut at 8 pm.

The night will start with a performance of city singer Kumar Anugarh who will be singing Bollywood as well as western tracks. Post his performance, Jitesh will take to the stage for hosting BYOJ 2.0. At BYOJ 2.0, 10 comedy enthusiasts from Nagpur will try their hand at stand-up comedy for the first time. Each of these people will be given four minutes to perform and showcase their humourous side. Of course, just like BYOJ 1, there won’t be any competition between the performers at BYOJ 2.0 as well. To prepare the contestants for BYOJ 2.0, a special workshop will also be conducted by Paperboat Entertainment on Friday, March 17, 2017 in the evening.

Paperboat Entertainment has also come up with a hilarious promo for BYOJ 2.0. The promo is a flashback of what the production house has done in the past and what one can expect from BYOJ 2.0. The voice-over for the promo has been given by US citizen Jerry Hughes who runs the Jerry Hughes Foundation in Nagpur which is aimed at helping people affected by HIV and AIDS.

Don’t miss this one guys because BYOJ 2.0 is surely going to be a hilarious affair!
