Inner Planet to promote mental health awareness at ‘Alive’ on October 14 in Nagpur

Inner Planet, to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, will be organising an event Alive, to promote awareness on stress and anxiety.

Inner Planet, in order to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Week, will be organising an interesting event Alive, which is an initiative to promote awareness on stress and anxiety. It aims to help people minimize stigma around mental health through various activities and suggest them ways to deal with it.

Inner Planet, which is spearheaded by Child Psychotherapist Yogita Madan and REBT Psychotherapist Zohra Master, will be organising Alive? on October 14 at Sr Ursulas School Ground, in association with The Climber and Nation Next as the online media partner.

Prior to Alive? on October 14, Inner Planet will be organising a parade on October 12. The parade will cover the following areas of Nagpur:

–          Japanese Garden to Walkers Street ? 6 am to 7 am

–          Futala Lake Road ? 8 am to 8:30 am

–          Variety Square to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Square – 9:45 am to 10:30 am

–          Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Square to Divisional Commissioner Office Square ? 11 am to 12 pm

–          Laxminagar Square to Bajaj Nagar square ? 5 pm to 5:30 pm

–          Bajaj Nagar Square to LAD Square via VNIT Road – 5:30 pm to 6 pm

–          Traffic Park Road – 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Around 100 volunteers of Alive will attend the rally.

On October 14, at St. Ursula Schools ground, different stalls will be put up to spread awareness about stress and anxiety. Some of these stalls include:

  1. Trigger or Treat (to educate people about triggers)
  2. Tropicana Ka Thikana (different opinions of people over something/someone)
  3. Cash or Trash (making people realising their self-worth)
  4. Serial Feel-er (physiology of anxiety and stress)

In addition to the stalls, Alive will have various activities for stress and anxiety management like: Paint it out, cycling, pottery, etc

Speaking to Nation Next, Inner Planet co-founder Zohra Master said, The basic purpose is to let more people know about mental illnesses and how to be mentally healthy. These problems are disorders and they are not something to get over with. The more we spread the awareness, the more there will acceptance to these problems by people. The parade is to make people aware about Alive and gather more participants.

1st COVID-19 case in Ramdaspeth crops up near Cabinet Minister Vijay Wadettiwars residence

For the first time, a resident of Ramdaspeth tested positive for Coronavirus on Saturday. The patient, who is said to be residing in an apartment near Cabinet Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation in the Maha Vikas Aghadi and senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwars residence (behind Tuli Imperial), is said to be a middle-aged woman. 

The patient is reportedly connected to a resident from Mominpura. However, nothing concrete as of now can be said about the same. More details are awaited.

Nagpur: 91 test positive in 24 hours making COVID-19 tally rise to 1266

Nagpur COVID-19 tally as on June 20 rose to 1266 after 91 people tested positive for the virus in past 24 hours. Out of the total 91, while 69 patients belonged to Naik Talao/Bangladesh, 11 from Shantinagar, four from Lashkaribagh, three from Ganeshpeth, one from Uppalwadi, one from Ramdaspeth, one from Mehendibagh and one belonged to Mominpura.

Out of the total, 823 have been cured and over 333 are currently being treated upon.

Nagpur man discovers 4-month-old foetus in gutter; cops suspect illegal abortion

In yet another shocking incident, a resident named Rahul Tumane discovered a 4-month-old foetus lying in an abandoned condition behind his house (near plot number 13, behind Kajal Bar and Restaurant area) in Pardi inside a gutter. 

Police inspector Sunil Chavan told Nation Next that a four-month-old foetus, wrapped in a cloth, was found lying inside a gutter near a house on Thursday night in Pardi. Chavan also informed that the foetus was sent for an autopsy to Mayo Hospital and the reports are awaited. Police have suspected the possibility of abandonment after an illegal abortion. 

A case has been registered under Section 318 (Concealment of birth by secret disposal of a dead body) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the basis of a complained filed by Tumane.
