While the item girl turned actress has a potential of attracting metaphoric comments from politicians like Digvijay Singh and Uddhav Thackeray, she has the capability of making headlines with her comments on personalities as varied as Devendra Fadnavis, Baba Ramdev and Sunny Leone. And the best thing about a conversation with Rakhi is that no question ever gets dodged by her. So, here’s Rakhiism? unplugged on politics, pornography and popular people in an exclusive interview with Nation Next.

The nation went wild when Salman Khan claimed in an interview with Karan Johar in Koffee with Karan that hes a virgin. Soon after it, you too confessed that you are also a virgin. For many, it’s unbelievable?

It’s absolutely correct. I am still a virgin because I’m a middle class girl with middle class values. I owe it to my upbringing.

Talking about virginity, you said I’m sure Baba Ramdev will lose his virginity when he comes face-to-face with my adaayein, after Baba Ramdev tagged your marriage proposal as indecent, in which you had said, I find him hot. Hes sexy. Haven?t you ever seen his flat tummy? Bas ek bar shaadi ki mala unpe daal du, unki aankh fadakna bhi band ho jayegi.

He never called my marriage proposal indecent. In fact, he loves me a lot. He even said that I’m a self-made and talented girl; and he respects me for what I am. It’s just that his way of loving, in general, is a bit different from that of mine. I’m even going to attend his yoga camp soon.

Congress party leader Digvijay Singh compared you with Arvind Kejriwal, saying that both of you try and expose but with no substance. How do you feel when even political bigwigs use your name in making metaphoric political statement?

Main ek aisi bomb hoon ki main kab fatungi aur unko faad dungi unko pata bhi nahi chalega. (I’m such a bomb that they won’t even come to know when I would explode them). Digvijay Singh called me names and look how God turned the tables on him! He compared Arvind Kejriwal to me and today Arvind Kejriwal is the Chief Minister of Delhi. He (Digvijay Singh) even apologised to me later. I forgave him because I fell for his love story with Amrita Rai. Hes so passionate and romantic even at this age. I respect him for this. He befits the saying ?Bandar kitna bhi budha ho jaye, gulati maarna nahi bhulta! (However old a monkey is, he doesn’t forget his tricks.) It’s absolutely normal to fall in love when you are old. It’s like ?Umar pachpan ki dil bachpan ka? (Age is 55 but the heart is still childish). It’s basically nice to see people of all ages pursuing their love interests. Had Digvijayji proposed to me, I would have definitely said yes to him because hes too passionate for his age!

There have been instances when actors like Riteish Deshmukh have commented on you saying, if there’s anybody in the film industry, whom hes ashamed of, is you.                                                          

I have given super hits with Riteish like Masti, Malamaal Weekly, etc. He couldn’t get publicity by targeting other actors so he targeted me. Look how important I am! Patthar usi ped pe maare jate hai jisme sabse zyada phal hote hai. Mujh mein toh phal hi phal hai, aur mere phal bahut attractive hai! (People only throw stones at the trees that are laden with fruits; and I’ve fruits in abundance, which are very attractive too!)

As Mallika Sherawat failed to make a mark into A league films after attaining success in B grade films with her sex appeal and skin show, Mahesh Bhatt had said, My suggestion to Rakhi Sawant would be not to get confused and leave her core.  You seem to have followed Bhatt Saabs advice by not trying hard to be termed as classy?                  

Hes right. I have followed his advice by adhering to what I’m good at. If I’m good at exposing skin, I will expose. I don’t mind kissing, smooching or sporting a bikini because whether it’s my face or my body, everything is beautiful in me. I performed at the opening of IIFA Awards in 2015. I got a chance to share stage with Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, for which I’m extremely grateful to both of them. People love me a lot because I’m a fully loaded person. I’m bold, brave and beautiful. I can dance, act, entertain and I’m hot and sexy at the same time. And that’s the reason why I have fans ranging from the masses to the classes. I’m a bhelpuri!

People in the industry say that you are a big mouth, who’s trying to always hog limelight. How do you respond to that?                       

I’m not an Ambani or a multi millionaire, who can pay the media and get publicity. Just because, I’m not Anil Kapoors or Shatrughan Sinhas daughter, people in film industry take the liberty to pass all sorts of comments on me. In fact, all the people who comment on me are motor mouths themselves. The only difference is that I speak on national television, and they bitch in closed rooms. Arnab Goswami screws up people in English, whereas I screw up people in Hindi. I am beauty with brains and I use them very well. I have given voice to the entire nation. Everybody needs publicity; even our Prime Minister Narendra Modi needs publicity today. People here have double standards. So much so that you lock these people alone in a room, and all they would do is watch porn.

You claimed that Shelia and Munni are all paani kum chai (insipid) in front of you. ?I am and always will be the original item girl, you said. Then why don’t you get enough work in films                               

Because I’m not Salman Khan’s sister-in-law! In fact, I have worked under the banner of Yashraj Films, which Malaika Arora Khan hasn’t so far.

You said that you failed to understand as to why no one offered you roles like the ones offered to the legendary actor Smita Patil. What makes you compare yourself with Smita Patil?                                     

I can’t lobby unlike others. Having said that, if God keeps giving me everything, what would others get? I’m content with my life because I know what I have achieved.

You took a dig at Sunny Leone by saying, Leela ko kar dungi geela. What is your problem with Sunny Leone?                                       

Frankly speaking, I have no problems with her. But ever since she has come to India, the way shes exposing has compelled us to wear skimpy clothes. She should be obliged to us because we know where she comes from, and still we are entertaining her. We are paying her to wear clothes and not to shed! We Indians won’t respect an Indian girl but we would lick a foreigners shoes! Even if she shits, we are ready to eat it because it’s Sunny Leones!

You contested from North-West Mumbai in 2014 general elections and lost. What are your political plans for now?                                      

I made a mistake by joining politics because I’m not meant for it. Money runs Indian politics. All the MPs and MLAs are in power because of their financial strength. I appealed to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis to give me an opportunity to genuinely serve the poor by opening dance and yoga classes for them. It’s on him to decide now. I’m not Indira Gandhi who would sacrifice her life for the country. Sorry!

Are you single? When do you plan to get married

I’m very much single because I’m unable to find a good man (Laughs!). God willing, I will conduct a Swayamwar again and this time, I will definitely marry!
