Situation worsens in Delhi as 3rd wave of COVID-19 reaches its peak
The alarms went bright red in the national capital as the COVID-19 cases spiked overnight. The third wave has hit Delhi and it is said to be worst in comparison to the earlier one.
Health Minister of Delhi Satyendar Jain on Sunday expressed his concern on this issue.
He said that the third wave was on its peak in Delhi and the situation might get worse in the coming days.
AAP Government has increased the number of beds for Covid patients; Covid centres are well equipped with necessary requirements to treat the patients said the Minister. He continued to say that the festive season was a big contributor to the spike in number of cases.
Avoid travelling if you can; practise social distancing? Jain added.
Jain assured the citizens of Delhi that they were in safe hands; government is conducting rapid testings. He also asked the people of Delhi to wear masks and practise social distancing for their own safety.
Wearing a mask is the only medicine for covid; do not take this lightly? said Jain.
He continued to say that Delhi Government was working on the three Ts that are Testing, Tracing and Treating. We are prepared to deal with this; It’s my humble request to the people to follow the guidelines and take precautions Jain added.
