Ratan Tatas response when journalist asked him why wasn’t he as rich as Mukesh Ambani

Known as the master of mergers-and-acquisitions, Tata expanded the reach of his company by acquiring Tetley, Jaguar, Corus and many more. Almost 60 % of his earnings went to charities across the world and he still heads trusts of Tata & Sons.
Former Chairman of Tata Group (1990-2012), Rata Tata was awarded Padma Bhushan in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan in 2008 by UPA-led Central government for his contribution to Indian society.
Once, at a press conference, a reporter asked Tata, Why aren’t you the richest person in Asia just as Mukesh Ambani?? to this, Ratan Tata humbly replied and said, They (Ambanis) are businessmen, we Tatas are industrialist.
He further stated that Tata & Sons employed more than 4.5 lakh people worldwide. We are here to build a better society not our pockets; this is what separates us from others, we are more concerned about the world we live in rather than ourselves, Tata further stated.
In his reign, profits of Tata & Sons grew more than 40% and revenue more than 50%. Amid the global pandemic, he donated Rs 1500 crore to PM-Cares fund and said that he would even sell his house if the country needed.
Take the stones people throw at you and use them to build a monument, said Ratan Tata.

KK passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata

Renowned playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata. The singer performed at Nazul Mancha auditorium on Tuesday (May 31). He went to his hotel after his performance and collapsed. He was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) at around 10:30 pm, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. The exact cause of his death is unknown as of now.

Shane Warne, the legendary Australian spinner, passed away at the age of 52 after suffering a suspected heart attack, his management has confirmed.

A statement by the managenent read: “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
