NMC releases list of 11 centres for senior citizens for COVID-19 vaccine jab

In the third phase of COVID-19 vaccination drive, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, on Sunday, released a list of 11 vaccination centres, that would administer COVID-19 vaccine to senior citizens from March 1.

Union Minister, on February 24, had announced that citizens above the age of 60 years, and those above the age of 45 years with comorbidities were to receive COVID-19 vaccine from March 1. The vaccines are to be administered free of cost at government vaccination centres.

 

Along with medical and frontline workers, senior citizens would receive the jab at 11 centres in Nagpur city, and 15 centres in the rural region.

 

Vaccinations would begun from 9 am at government centres and in the afternoon for private centres. On the first day of vaccination, only 50 citizens would receive the jab.

 

Following is the list of vaccination centres in the city premises:

 Mayo Hospital (2 centers)

 

 Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital, Gandhi Nagar

 

 Isolation Hospital, Imamwada

 

 Police Hospital, Zingabai Takli Katol Road

 

 Daga Womens Hospital, Gandhibagh

 

 Kamgar Hospital, Sakkardara

 

 Panchpaoli New Police Quarters

What documents to carry at the centre:

 

Citizens who wish to get vaccinated must carry their Aadhar Card. If a candidate is suffering from co-morbidities, medical certificate needs to be produced at the centre.

 

If the citizens fail to procure Aadhar card, they can also register by showing the identity card on which, date of birth is visible.

 

Frontline workers should register by showing their job identity card and health workers by showing their hospital identity card.

 

Registration can be done by visiting the actual centre as well as online registration can be done at home through CoWin app or Arogya Setu.

 

At the centre, citizens will have to fill up following information: Details of name, age, gender, etc.

 

People with co-morbidities between 45 years and 60 years of age would require medical certificates from a practising doctor.

 

Co-morbidity conditions include high blood pressure, cancer, lung disease, diabetes, etc.

Active COVID cases near 30,000 mark in Nagpur

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally, on Tuesday, January 25, reached 5,43,064 (till 5 pm) as 4028 (972 from rural and 2956 from city) new cases were recorded in a single day. 

Also, active COVID cases, as on Tuesday, could be seen inching closer to 30,000 mark in the district.

Six people lost their lives (one from rural and five from city) on Tuesday. Till now, 10,183 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the district. Total tests taken were 11,377.
While patients who recovered on Tuesday were 2519, the total number of recovered patients stood at 503729.

Nagpur reports 90 COVID cases in past 24 hours

Nagpur’s COVID-19 tally on Sunday, January 2 reached 4,94,193 (till 5 pm) as 90 (73 city, nine rural) more people tested positive for the virus. 

Also, five patients recovered on Sunday taking the number of recoveries to 4,83,664. 

Till now, 10123 people have lost their lives due to COVID in the district. As of now, there are 406 active COVID patients in the district.

Nagpur registered 88 (81 from city) new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday, December 31. Nagpur previously had recorded as minimum as six cases on December 24.
