Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Tuesday inspected 92 establishments across ten zones in the city and collected Rs 1,82,000 as fine from marriage hall and coaching classes owners for not following COVID-19 norms. At most of these establishments, which have been fined, there were more than 200 people present. Also, at many of these establishments, social distancing was not being followed and guests were not wearing masks.
With a spike in COVID-19 cases in the city, NMC and Nagpur Police are coming down heavily on citizens violating COVID-19 norms.
