A 30-year-old man named Ashutosh Raju Kamble was grievously injured on Sunday, after his neighbour thrashed him with concrete rocks for sitting on a bench in front of his house near Panchpaoli, Nagpur.
Ashutosh, a resident of Lashkaribagh, Aavdebabu Chowk, Panchpaoli, was sitting on an iron bench in front of his house, at 11pm on Sunday, when his 40-year-old neighbour Bhola Suresh Shende started arguing with him for sitting on the bench.
As Kamble asked Shende to not curse, Shende allegedly thrashed him and hit his head and forehead with concrete rocks.
Seriously injured during the incident, Kamble was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Based on a complaint filed by Ashutosh’s mother Varsha Raju Kamble (50) a case was registered against the accused at Panchpaoli Police Station, under Sections 326 (Voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 323 (Punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) and 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
