Amid COVID-19 crisis, Coffee House in Lucknow, run by iconic Indian Coffee House, has now started offering ‘kadha’ to boost immunity. While a large cup of kadha would cost Rs 25 per cup, Rs 15 per cup would cost for a small cup of kadha and the customers have reportedly welcomed the change.

Secretary of the Indian Coffee House, Aruna Singh, said, We have done this keeping in mind the health and well-being of our customers most of whom are senior citizens.

Singh said the ‘kadha’ comprised medicinal herbs including cinnamon, giloy leaves, cloves, cardamom, mulethi, tulsi leaves, and black pepper.

TOI quoted Singh by saying, Ever since we reopened coffee house in June, our customers have been mainly those who have resumed office and come here for a break. While they prefer coffee and other items, we thought we should also include the basic immunity drink of any Indian household as it has become the need of the hour.
