Legendary Indian classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj passed away at the age of 90 due to cardiac arrest in New Jersey, USA. 

The news of music legends demise was shared by his family through a statement, which read: ?With profound grief we inform that Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj ji breathed his last this morning at 5.15 EST due to a cardiac arrest at his home in New Jersey, USA. 

Pandit Jasraj, who belonged to Mewati Gharana, was awarded with Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri by India for his rich contributions in music. He is the only Indian musician to have a planet named after him. International Astronomical Union (IAU) named minor planet 2006 VP32 (number -300128), discovered on November 11, 2006, as ‘Panditjasraj’. Other legendary musicians who have had the similar honour include: Mozart, Beethoven and Tenor Luciano Pavar.

Pandit Jasraj is survived by his wife Madhura, daughter Durga and son Sharang Dev.

KK passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata

Renowned playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, passed away at the age of 53 in Kolkata. The singer performed at Nazul Mancha auditorium on Tuesday (May 31). He went to his hotel after his performance and collapsed. He was rushed to Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) at around 10:30 pm, where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. The exact cause of his death is unknown as of now.

Shane Warne, the legendary Australian spinner, passed away at the age of 52 after suffering a suspected heart attack, his management has confirmed.

A statement by the managenent read: “Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course.”
