Union Health Ministry, on Tuesday, said that India administered over 75 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses since the nationwide vaccination program began in January.
In a press note, the ministry mentioned that 75,22,38,324 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered to date. Further, it stated that 78,66,950 doses were administered in last the 24 hours.
A couple of days ago, the ministry had said that more than half of India’s eligible adults were fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
As per the latest records, India reported 25,404 new COVID-19 cases, 37,127 recoveries, and 339 deaths in the last 24 hours, said Union Health Ministry.
India’s total cases stood at 3,32,89,579. While 3,62,207 active cases were recorded. With 3,24,84,159 total recoveries, a total of 4,43,213 lives succumbed to the virus.
Meanwhile, states like Goa and Himachal, which were one of the most affected states during the second wave, recently claimed that they had partially vaccinated their entire population.
As per NIDMs report, third wave in India would be at its peak in November.
