Nagpur registered 416 positive police personnel and 53 officers as active COVID patients.

Nagpur recorded the highest number of COVID-19 positive cops in Maharashtra, thus surpassing Mumbai where the virus has taken the lives of maximum cops. As reported by TOI, Nagpur registered 416 positive police personnel and 53 officers as active COVID patients.

Since the outbreak of the global pandemic, 264 on-duty cops across the state lost their lives due to COVID-19, out of which, 86 cops died in Mumbai, while 16 died in Nagpur. As reported by TOI, while 416 ranks and 53 officers in Nagpur are currently COVID-19 positive, 373 ranks and 79 officers in Mumbai are COVID-19 positive at present.

Nagpur recorded 89,761 positive cases with 1,009 recoveries. The recovery rate for Coronavirus in the city stood at 88.96%. Until now, 2,912 people have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the district. Out of these 2,912 people, 2,569 were from Nagpur district, while 343 belonged to other districts.
