Freshly qualified graduates and post graduates of GHRCE (GH Raisoni College of Engineering) were beaming with joy and pride as they gathered together at the 5th Graduation Ceremony of GHRCE held on the college campus on June 30. At the ceremony around, 1342 graduates and postgraduates from the college were awarded with their respective provisional degrees.
While the chief guest at the grand convocation ceremony was academician Dr UB Desai (Director, IIT, Hyderabad), also present during the occasion were Sunil Raisoni (Chairman, Raisoni Group of Institutions), Dr SV Kane (Vice Chancellor, RTMNU), Gulabrao Thakare (Joint Director of Technical Education), Dr Milind Atrey (Professor-in-charge of SINE, IIT Bombay), Dr Sujit Bannerjee (Director, NSTEDB, DST, GOI), Dr Pramod Yeole (Pro-VC, RTMNU), Dr HD Juneja (Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, RTMNU), Renu Rajani, Dr Preeti Bajaj (Director, GHRCE) and other esteemed guests.
Along with getting their respective degrees quite a few students were felicitated during the graduation ceremony for their academic achievements. Here are the highlights of the felicitation of the students:
? Overall 34 students were awarded with the Toppers Award from entire section of Under Graduate (UG) program.
? Three gold medals were awarded to the toppers of in UG, Post Graduate (Engineering) and Postgraduate (Non-Engineering) category respectively.
? Pragati Pathak from Department of Computer Science and Engineering bagged the Gold Medal from UG category with 9.93 CGPA.
? Snehal Suresh Deotale from Integrated Power System (IPS) bagged the Gold Medal from Postgraduate Course with 9.85 CGPA.
? Kajal Pramod Sarda bagged a gold medal from Non-Engineering PG course with 9.52 CGPA.
? Seven silver medals were awarded to toppers of the UG program and ten silver medals were awarded to toppers of the PG programs.
? Prasenjeet Roy from Department of Computer Science and Engineering was presented with The Achiever Award.
An elated Sunil Raisoni, during his speech, congratulated Bajaj and the college staff and applauded their efforts and hard work for taking Raisoni College to new heights. Speaking about Bajaj and the staff at the college, Sunil Raisoni said, Perfection is always a journey and in the process of continual improvement they have always tried hard to be at par with expectations of our stakeholders and to overcome challenges at all fronts.
Dr Desai, while addressing the students not only congratulated them but also guided them. Desais speech mostly revolved around Knowledge Science. He also explained the need for research and made an appeal to the graduates and postgraduates to always have a spirit of scientific inquiry, which is a fundamental attribute to research, product development, innovation, etc. Apart from speaking about science, technologies and research, Dr Desai emphasized on the importance of being ethical not only in professional life but personal life as well.
Guiding the students further, Dr Kane during his address mentioned three important things prevalent in today’s era: Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization, which, according to him, are results of advancement in technology. Dr Kane, speaking about Albert Einsteins theory on use of science, urged the students to make sensible use of science for the benefit of human race. Kane further said that as the education system is undergoing radical changes rapidly, students must be able to adapt to new challenges and should always be ready to grab the opportunities coming their way.

MBA and BBA students party hard at Raisoni College’s freshers’ bash in Nagpur
Freshly inducted MBA and BBA students of GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research started their college life with a bang as they partied hard at the freshers’ party held at Hotel Radisson Blu in Nagpur.
The freshers’ party, which was hosted by Farhan Kazi, had its theme as ‘Dynamic Duo.’ Abiding by the theme, freshers came to the party dressed at their stylish and dynamic best! Freshers participated in a lot of activities and displayed their talent as they competed against each other to win the title of ‘Mr Fresher’ and Miss Fresher’. Students were judged by pageant winners Prajwal Bhoyar and Miss Priyanka Trivedi.

GHRIMR students spread happiness as they celebrate Diwali with underprivileged kids in Nagpur
GHRIMR (GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research) celebrated the festival of lights in a unique way as they enjoyed with kids from an orphanage at a Diwali Milan organised at Shraddha House in Nagpur. The underprivileged kids from Jivan Anand Anath Ashram were welcomed by Raisoni students with flowers.
The theme of the evening was Nostalgic 90s and as per the theme a lot of singing and dance performances took place. While kids from the Ashram performed dance on various songs, their love was reciprocated by Raisoni MBA and BBA students who performed especially for the Ashram kids.

BBA, MBA students rock Raisoni College’s freshers party in Nagpur
GHRIMR (GH Raisoni Institute of Management and Research), to welcome the new batch of BBA and MBA students, organised a freshers party on September 11 at Hotel Radisson Blu in Nagpur. The theme of the party was Ticket to Hollywood. The freshers party was managed by the seniors, who made sure that their new juniors have a gala time.
The party kick started with different singing and dance performances followed by a welcome speech by Dr Meena Rajesh, Principal of GHRIMR. Dr Rajesh, during her speech, gave her best wishes to the freshers for having a memorable and productive time at the college.

After a superb western dance performance based on the party’s theme, a fashion show was staged as part of the Mr and Miss Fresher competition. Post the show, BBA and MBA students were awarded with different titiles.
