Celebrate the superwoman in your life at ‘The She Fest’ in Nagpur on March 9, 10

If you are a man who wants to make the superwoman in your life feel special or a woman who wants to celebrate the superwoman in you, here’s some exciting news for you! With an intention to celebrate the spirit of womanhood, an amazing fest The She Fest – will be organised in association with The Times of India at Press Club in Nagpur on March 9 and March 10. Nation Next is the Online Media Partner of this fest, which is being organised by Jyoti Kapoor and Parveen Tuli (Infinite Space), Neeta Singh (JDs Dessert Boutique) and Monica Bhagwagar (Paperage).

Speaking to Nation Next, Bhagwagar said, The She Fest is a platform for women entrepreneurs. The fest will comprise more than 40 different stalls and interesting workshops related to food, fashion, lifestyle, etc. At these workshops, women will be able to learn quite a few amazing things. To ensure that kids have a lot of fun along with their mommies, we will have a special zone for kids as well. The She Fest? is also our way to celebrate the spirit of womanhood!

Women achievers from different walks of life will also be felicitated at the fest during ‘Woman of Substance 2019’ on March 10. These women include: Anasuya Kale, Anju Kish, Anita Rao, Subhada Shailesh Sankhe, Savita Sancheti, Inu Majumdar, Rita Aggarwal, Bhavana Janbandhu, Gauri Uyke and Aruna Upadhyaya.

 March 9

11 am: Inauguration

12 pm to 3 pm: Live cooking workshop and cooking competition by Chef Shruti Jain

2 pm to 3 pm: Floral jewelry workshop by Swati Gadewar

4 pm to 5 pm: Fashion hacks by fashion blogger Priyanka Jaiswal of The Looking Glass

5:15 pm: Zumba by Aerothemics

5:30 to 6:30 pm: Quiz and puzzle competition by Cuemath teachers Fehmida Ali, Archana Ranjan and Apoorva Mishra

7 pm: Book launch of Anju Kishs book How I Got My Belly Button?

7:30 pm: Flashmob by Aerothemics

8 pm to 8:30 pm: Nukkad Natak by The Childrens Garden Pre School

1st COVID-19 case in Ramdaspeth crops up near Cabinet Minister Vijay Wadettiwars residence

For the first time, a resident of Ramdaspeth tested positive for Coronavirus on Saturday. The patient, who is said to be residing in an apartment near Cabinet Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation in the Maha Vikas Aghadi and senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwars residence (behind Tuli Imperial), is said to be a middle-aged woman. 

The patient is reportedly connected to a resident from Mominpura. However, nothing concrete as of now can be said about the same. More details are awaited.

Nagpur: 91 test positive in 24 hours making COVID-19 tally rise to 1266

Nagpur COVID-19 tally as on June 20 rose to 1266 after 91 people tested positive for the virus in past 24 hours. Out of the total 91, while 69 patients belonged to Naik Talao/Bangladesh, 11 from Shantinagar, four from Lashkaribagh, three from Ganeshpeth, one from Uppalwadi, one from Ramdaspeth, one from Mehendibagh and one belonged to Mominpura.

Out of the total, 823 have been cured and over 333 are currently being treated upon.

Nagpur man discovers 4-month-old foetus in gutter; cops suspect illegal abortion

In yet another shocking incident, a resident named Rahul Tumane discovered a 4-month-old foetus lying in an abandoned condition behind his house (near plot number 13, behind Kajal Bar and Restaurant area) in Pardi inside a gutter. 

Police inspector Sunil Chavan told Nation Next that a four-month-old foetus, wrapped in a cloth, was found lying inside a gutter near a house on Thursday night in Pardi. Chavan also informed that the foetus was sent for an autopsy to Mayo Hospital and the reports are awaited. Police have suspected the possibility of abandonment after an illegal abortion. 

A case has been registered under Section 318 (Concealment of birth by secret disposal of a dead body) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the basis of a complained filed by Tumane.
