On February 17, 2019, a unique beauty contest for kids ? Darlings of Nagpur 2019 ? will be organised by Emprize Event and Entertainment in association with Nation Next as the media partner at Hotel Tuli Imperial. Darlings of Nagpur, which will celebrate the beauty and innocence of childhood, is being organised for kids between 0 to 8 years of age.

The contest will be organised in four categories:

? Infancy (0-1 year)

? Tumbling Toddlers (1-3 years)

? Story Tellers (3-5 years)

? Notty Shotty (5-8 years)

In every category, the winners will be awarded with the titles of Prince of Nagpur? and Princess of Nagpur. Additionally, titles such as Fashion Icon, Most Adorable Baby, Mini Model, etc., will also be given. Kid in the first two categories will be accompanied by their mothers. For these two categories, two mothers will be awarded as ?Best Mom in Town. The contest will be judged by beauty pageant winners Dr Vartika Patil and Ekta Bhaiya.

Interestingly, Emprize Event has teamed up with Vidarbha Cine Artists Association for the event. If members of the association feel that any kid participating in the event is really talented or suitable for a role, the kid can get to appear in any television commercial or film in Vidarbha.

Speaking to Nation Next about Darlings of Nagpur, Reet Mathai, Owner, Emprize Event and Promotion, said, We really believe that children need a platform like this. If a child starts performing on stage at such an early age, imagine the confidence he/she will have after growing up! Plus, I think, in a city like Nagpur, children don’t get a lot of opportunities to showcase their talent. Fashion shows for kids have been organised in Nagpur in the past, but I think this is the first time a beauty contest for kids will be organised in Central India.
