Ambati Rayudu announces his retirement from all forms of cricket

Indian middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from all forms of cricket, including the IPL, on Wednesday. Rayudu informed about his decision to BCCI in an email.
Rayudu wrote in the email: I would like to bring to your kind notice that I have come to the decision to step awat from the sport and retire from all forms and levels of the game. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the BCCI and all the state associations that I have represented, which include Hyderabad, Baroda, Andhra Pradesh and Vidarbha.
Notably, Rayudus retirement comes after being ignored and not being called up for the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in spite of being a stand-by player for the Indian Cricket Team. While Rishabh Pant was called in to replace the injured Shikhar Dhawan, Mayank Agrawal was called up to replace the injured Vijay Shankar.
The 33-year-old right-handed batsman played for India in 55 ODIs and scored 1694 runs at an average of 47.05. He also represented India in six Twenty20 international matches.
