Ajit Pawar, Anil Deshmukh save five stranded accident victims

Former deputy chief minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar and former minister of Maharashtra for food and civil supplies Anil Deshmukh saved five stranded accident victims on Thursday. The two leaders along with MLC from NCP Prakash Gajbhiye, NCP city President Anil Ahirkar, etc., were en route Tiroda from Bhandara for a by-election rally. While on their way, they came across a Tata Indica car, which had rammed a truck at around 4:30 pm.

Pawar on seeing the damaged car immediately ordered his driver to stop and played the Good Samaritan. The accident victims were in a miserable condition and were rushed to the nearest private hospital in Tiroda.

The ex-deputy CM told Nation Next, The accident took place minutes before we reached the spot. The car had rammed into a truck, which was stationed since two days. The passengers were extremely critical. Because I had people in four to five cars apart from mine, we could accommodate all quickly. I ensured the doctors in the hospitals keep stretcher and other facilities ready for the victims upon arrival. The doctor told me that if we hadn’t taken the victims to the hospital on time, maximum of them would have been dead. Some were so serious that they had to be rushed to a hospital in Gondia for further treatment. I then informed the police about the entire incident. The cops in Tiroda reached the accident spot in no time and did the needful.

Pawar in an interaction with Nation Next requested people to keep humanity as their priority. He said, There’s something called humanity! We should treat people in such trying times as our family members and help them out. I’d encountered a similar incident while on my way to Mahabaleshwar once. We immediately took the injured victim to the hospital.

Anil Deshmukh, who was traveling in the same car as Ajit Pawar, told Nation Next, We should help people during such difficult situations. Whenever we see people on roads who need help, we should immediately offer a helping hand. That’s the most important thing.
The injured persons, who had gone to Tumsar to attend a wedding, are namely Manish Meshram (driver of the car), Vivek Shende, Vaibhav Bansod, Ravi Chaudhari and Shubham Dhomne.
