Doctor couple from Nagpur Dr Tulika and Dr Sameer Arbat hosted their close friends and family at the house warming of their new home Casa Felice, (which means the happy home) at Ramdaspeth recently.
Casa Felice? is an idea, which Tulika and I had been dreaming since a very long time. It took almost 18 months to complete this dream project. Every corner, wall, surface, floor, furniture, colour palette, decor, fabric, glass, expanse, comfort feature has been curated by Tulika and me, thus reflecting a lifestyle and taste that’s very personal to us. The house has elements from more than 30 countries and 100 cities that we’ve stayed in over the past five years, said Dr Sameer.
A walk inside the house would give you a déjà vu of different cities of the world. The library is reminiscent of the Throne Room? of Buckingham Palace. The master bedroom is designed in Parisian theme while the large mirrored wardrobes are inspired by Los Angeles.
The master bath is finished in Santorini coloured stone while there is a Moroccan bathroom for their son Noam. The house also has a Scandinavian kitchen, Hawaiian theme terrace, temple inspired by Ajmer, a secret Sea Cruise Powder Room? and the signature Milan Living Room.
The house has many art pieces inspired by work of legends like Salvador Dali and Leonid Afremov. The library holds a globally ascribed collection of books, die-cast collection, limited-edition memorabilia and art pieces from different countries.
The place has a super luxurious and young feel to it. There is a peaceful and positive vibe as you enter the abode. Some rooms make me feel like I am in an art gallery. The star of the evening was definitely Noam who was more than happy to meet everyone?, commented one of the guests Parikshit Pandya.
Since Sameer is a technophile, the house has a dedicated surround sound system for individual rooms, voice controlled ambience and much more. The house is being featured in a few international magazines because of its theme and artwork. We chose Casa Felice? as it is in a language and culture, which is special and close to Sameer. We had a good time having our friends come over. We had limited number of guests and all safety precautions for COVID-19 were taken. I feel our friends liked the place as much as we liked building it with our heart and soul, said Dr Tulika.
