Nagpur collector makes biometric attendance mandatory for all government offices

Nagpur Collector Vipin Itankar made biometric attendance system mandatory in all government offices at Nagpur from September 1.

Nagpur district Collector Dr Vipin Itankar made biometric attendance system mandatory in all government offices in the district. In a communiqué released on Friday, all government officials would need to register their attendance in biometric format, based on which their salaries will be released.

As per the order issued by the Collector, the biometric attendance would be presented by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and e-district project manager (Maha-IT) at 10.30 am daily.

The Collector introduced the system from September 1 in order to monitor attendance of officers and employees in the offices. Former Collector of Nanded, Itankar took charge as Nagpur District Collector on August 19 this year.
