Vande Bharat train was on its journey from Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar when it collided with cattle near Atul in Gujarat’s Valsad on the morning of October 29.

Following the incident, the train halted for half and hour. However, no significant damage to the train has been reported, except for damage in the train’s coupler, water pump pipe, and the cover of the front coach.

The Mumbai-Gandhinagar Vande Bharat Superfast Express train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and it started its commercial run on October 1, a day after. This incident was the fourth after the launch of the train last month.

According to projections made by United Nation, the world population hit the mark of eight billion today on November 15, 2022. The eight billion population milestone showed that the population increased by one billion people in the world in just the last 11 years.

India is lined-up to surpass China as the world’s most populated by the year 2023. Also, the global population is projected to peak at around 10.4 billion in the 2080s.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres  said, “This year’s World Population Day falls during a milestone year when we anticipate the birth of the Earth’s eight billionth inhabitant. This is an occasion to celebrate our diversity, recognice our common humanity, and marvel at advancements in health that have extended lifespans and dramatically reduced maternal and child mortality rates.”
