Shri Swami Jnanamurtyananda, Ramkrishna Math, Nagpur, in his inaugural address started with a shlok, adhering to all mentors, students and God, at GYANODAYA 2022, the Induction Program for First Year newly admitted students at RCOEM. He congratulated the students on being a part of the prestigious Institution for their Education. “If wealth is lost, nothing is lost, If health is lost something is lost, but if character is lost everything is lost”. This is among few quotes which Swami ji emphasized on while speaking with newly admitted students and parents at RCOEM.
GYANODAYA 2022, is the Induction Program for First Year Engineering, MCA & MBA Integrated students, which was held on Wednesday 16th November, 2022. The function was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp at the hands of Shri Swami Jnanamurtyananda, Ramkrishna Math, Nagpur, Chief Guest for the occasion.
Swami ji quoted a few teachings by Swami Vivekananda on education and character building and the ability to decide what to take in and discard. He also emphasized on being sincere and truthful in the endeavors one takes. He also threw light upon the importance of real knowledge of working of mankind and character building. “You are born to become Great in this human life”, was one of the many quotes that he stated. He further motivated the students by enlightening them about internal and external knowledge and types of personality. He spoke about the values which are deemed necessary to become a responsible citizen of the country.
Shri Satyanaryan Nuwal, Chairaman RCOEM, in his presidential address, welcomed the students and congratulated them for being a part of this Institution. He emphasized to build values such as being responsible, having determination and dedication for the work that students would pursue. As an individual it is important to lay strong foundation, deeper roots and strong ethical and modern values. Therefore, one must be deep rooted in their ideas and values so that they can climb greater heights of success and happiness. Towards the end, he showered his blessings upon the students, wishing them all the success and happiness.
Dr Rajesh Pande, Principal RCOEM, focused on the accomplishments of the college focusing on the recent national level achievements of the students, the colleges’ efforts and provisions for the overall development of the students and other academic and non-academic attributes of the college, in his opening remark. He ended his note by extending warm and good wishes to the newly inducted students. Dr Rashmi Shahu, Dean Students, gave the introduction of the chief guest, Shri Swami Jnanamurtyananda.

The program was attended by executive members of RCOEM, faculty and around 1500 students and parents.

The Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy would kickstart in Nagpur from the February 9th of February next year. The first test would be played at Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Jamtha Stadium in Nagpur between February 9 and 13, 2023 and next three test matches in Delhi, Dharamshala and Ahmedabad. This will also be the last edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which will be a four-match Test series feature.
Australia’s tour of India will conclude with three ODIs in Mumbai (March 17), Visakhapatnam (March 19) and Chennai (March 22) leading into the next season of the IPL.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announced the schedule for the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Samruddhi Mahamarg in pictures: A closer look at the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway
Samruddhi Mahamarg or Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Expressway, officially named as Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, is a 701-km-long stretch of highway that will help in the development of Marathwada and Vidarbha regions that would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 11 in Nagpur.
While the expressway as of now is ready for 520 km, the remaining 181 km stretch of highway would be ready by 2024 that will connect Shirdi and Mumbai and will end in Bhiwandi district. The eight-lane expressway is being built by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation at the estimated cost of ₹55,000 crore approximately.
Reportedly, vehicles can drive at a speed of 150 kmph on the expressway, the route of which would pass through 14 districts, six talukas and 392 villages in Maharashtra.

Samruddhi Mahamarg or Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 11, 2022 in Nagpur.
