The 38th Foundation Day of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management was celebrated on September 10, 2022, in Nagpur. The journey of RCOEM started 38 years ago on September 10, 1984, with only four programs and 210 students. The Institution now boasts of having around 5000 students, with the highest placements among self-financed colleges of India.
With the divine blessings of Shri Ramdeobaba and the zealous vision of the founder Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Chairman Emeritus, today the Institution is one of the premier institutes in Central India.
This auspicious day was celebrated in a unique manner by giving back to society. This was done by conducting various activities like tree plantation and blood donation camp.
On this occasion, the college also donated around 50 old computers to three organizations which have done excellent work in their respective fields. These are Hedgewar blood bank, Maitri pariwar and Samvedna Trust.
The event was followed by a mesmerizing performance by the students of Dance club of RCOEM.
The event was graced by Rajendra Purohit, General Secretory, RCOEM, Dr Rajesh Pande, Principal, RCOEM, Deans, HoDs, Faculty members, students of RCOEM and Mr Ashok Patki from Hedgewar blood bank, Mr. Sanjay Bhende from Maitri Pariwar and Mr. Sachin Phadke from Samaveda Trust. The Program was organised by Student’s Representative Council and NSS unit of RCOEM.
Nagpur: Former RCOEM students donate blood, plasma at camp organised by alumni association

With an intention to do their bit during the COVID-19 crisis, former students of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (RCEOM) in Nagpur donated blood and plasma at a camp organised by Ramdeobaba Alumni Connect Association (RACA) on May 15 and May 16 at the college premises.
At the camp, which was conducted with the help of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Dr Hedgewar Blood Bank, peer groups, college alumni along with their family members came forward in good numbers to donate plasma and blood. All donors were given separate slot timings to maintain social distancing. Similarly, separate arrangements were made for the walk-ins at the venue.
While the camp was inaugurated by Rajesh Loya, Mahanagar Sanghachalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) inaugurated the camp, Rajendra Purohit, Secretary, RCOEM, and Dr RS Pande, Principal, RCOEM, were prominently present during the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Loya, who’s also a prominent chartered accountant, said that blood donation is the most generous donation a common man can do for the society. Loya also praised the contribution of young volunteers and alumni committee members.
RACA committee members Nilesh Panpaliya (Chairman), Rahul Laddhad (Vice-Chairman), Tushar Marghade (Advisor), Sachin Pund (Secretary), Vipul Murarka (Treasurer), Kamal Agrawal, Twinkle Thakur, Mrudula Korde and Gorakh Sirisikar, NM Deshkar, PD Pachpor along with alumni team led by Vinay Chawla, Mayur Jaju, Sankalp Tiwari, Akhil Rathi, Lalit Gandhi, J Sudhakar, Sameer Sahu and other volunteers performed assigned tasks for the success of the camp.
RSS team members P Shekhar (Gittikhadan Bhag Sanghchalak), Ravindra Bokhare (Mahanagar Sahkaryawah), Sanjay Joglekar (Mahanagar Sah Seva Pramukh), Kshitij Gupta, Abhishek Mishra, Ganesh Reddy and Harsh Bhalavi, also helped in organising the camp.
