Sons of Nagpur BJP leader Munna Yadav – Karan and Arjun – got embroiled in a controversy that allegedly occurred during Khasdar Krida Mahotsav (KKM) – a mega event helmed under Union Minister Nitin Gadkari – in Nagpur.
The Yadav brothers were accused of thrashing umpire and organiser during a cricket match organised by KKM at Chhatrapati Nagar ground in the city on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred during a match between two teams – Khamla Eleven and Star Eleven – and one of these teams included Karan and Arjun. After the match began, Arjun argued with the umpire over throw bowling and the umpire tried to explain him something related to his objection. However, the Yadav brothers allegedly started behaving arbitrarily, without listening to anyone and asked them umpire to give a decision they thought was right.
When the umpire refused, the duo allegedly thrashed him and the scorer. While this ruckus was going on, the supporters of Yadav brothers also entered the field. As a result, the match had to be stopped midway and other players left the ground amid the tussle.
The organisers of the match took up the issue with BJP city President Praveen Datke and narrated the entire ordeal. It has been said that the victims would soon file a police complaint and inform Gadkari about the same.
Sandip Joshi, Convener at the event, said that an inquiry would be initiated in this regard and a complaint will be made to the concerned person in the party.”
However, this is not the first instance of a brawl that the Yadav brothers have been accused of. Even earlier, the duo has been accused of disrupting harmony. Considered close to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Munna Yadav too has been often tagged as a controversial leader in the party.
