Bollywood actress and Mrs World Aditi Govitrikar, who’s often touted as ‘Beauty with Brains,’ inaugurated Confidence Academy in Nagpur on July 17. Confidence Academy, which is an academy for personality development and confidence building of students, professionals and pageant aspirants, is owned by Dr Vartika Patil (Mrs Universe Fabulous and Mrs Universe West Asia).
The inauguration was attended by students of the academy and friends of Dr Vartika and Dr Himanshu Patil. Prominently present during the occasion were Dr Aruna Patil, Dr Prakash Patil, Dr Pramod Giri (Neurosurgeon and Director of Neuron Hospital), renowned psychiatrist Dr Sudhir Bhave, Neelima Kapuria and Dr Anne Wilkinson from NKP Salve Institute.
During the inauguration, students who have brought laurels to the academy were felicitated by Dr Aditi Govitrikar. Apart from this, Dr Manjusha Giri (Pediatrician, Director of Neuron), Vipin Sood and Sunita Bhagat were also felicitated by Dr Govitrikar.
Poonam Towers aka Bata building
Civic authorities covered the incomplete under construction work of Poonam Towers, situated bang opposite Vidhan Bhavan at RBI Square, on Friday ahead of the C20 meet in Nagpur scheduled on March 20 and 21.
The building owned by renowned builder N Kumar, whose construction has remained incomplete over two decades, it popularly known as ‘Bata building’ in the city.

A 49-year-old man in Nagpur died while playing badminton in Pachpaoli area on Monday morning at around 6:45 am. The deceased, identified as Gunnu Dharma Lohara, was a resident of Yadav Nagar who was playing badminton with his friend.
He was rushed to Central Railway Hospital in an unconscious state and was declared dead by the doctors there.
