Jain International School conducts investiture ceremony for new Student Cabinet

Nagpur’s Jain international School recently invested its newly appointed ‘Student Cabinet’ with prefectural responsibilities for the session 2022-23. Neelima Shrivastava, a senior scientist in Maharashtra Remote Sensing Application Centre was the chief guest during the occasion. The investiture ceremony was held in the presence of the management members – Director Anuj Badjate, Managing Trustee Priti Badjate, and advisor Anmol Badjatia. The parents of the newly elected cabinet members were also present during the ceremony.

While Chinmayee Vidhale was sworn as the school head girl, Param Tripathi was sworn in as the school head boy. The other members of the cabinet to be sworn in were: Meet Vaswani and Rishika Chawla (Discipline Prefects), Dhunn Saraf and Urvi Dhakate (CCA Prefects), Saumya Bhandarkar and Khushi Gopalani (Sports Prefects) and Atharva Jain and Anvesha Bandawar (Cleanliness Prefects).

The chief guest enrobed the sashes and pinned the badges to students in the cabinet. The students who were sworn in for the posts of house captains and vice captains were: Achievers House – M Malaika  (Sr Captain), Vishuddhi Jain (Sr Vice Captain), Aarul Gupta (Jr Captain) and Nirvan Moon  (Jr Vice Captain), Challengers House  – Ayaana Ashta (Sr Captain), Kritarth Sharma (Sr Vice Captain ), Advita Poddar (Jr Captain) and Daksh Chawla (Jr Vice Captain), Explorers House – Dhairya Singh (Sr Captain), Nitya Verma (Sr Vice Captain), Reyaansh Raiyani (Jr Captain) and Tiya Jain (Jr Vice Captain) and Winners House – Anjali Khandelwal (Sr Captain ), Bhavya Badjate (Sr Vice Captain ), Arash Bhatia (Jr Captain) and  Aleena Noor (Jr Vice Captain). They received their sashes and badges from the Director Anuj Badjate.

Principal Shanthi Menon administered the oath in which all the Cabinet Members pledged to dispense their duties and responsibilities with dedication and honesty. All the house in-charge teachers and animators and the members of the organising committee also received the badges from Preeti Badjate and Anmol Badjatia.

A group of students of Class – IX presented a graceful Ganesh Vandana dance performance and a choir group entertained everyone with an inspirational song. Neelima Shrivastava congratulated and motivated the cabinet members with her insightful speech on leadership and the qualities that make a great leader.

Anuj Badjate motivated the new team of office bearers in his speech. Neelima Shrivastava declared the commencement of CCA Activities for the session 2022-23. All the members of the management, including CEO Sanjeev Agarwal congratulated the newly elected leaders and conveyed their best wishes. The entire event was successfully channelized CCA in-charge Kiran Joshi and anchored by Suchitra Sen.

Management conclave held at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management in Nagpur

Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Nagpur organized management conclave ‘SYMCHARCHA’ on 23rd Sep 2022. This event has been organized by Corp connect team of SIBM Nagpur for sharing knowledge about the latest trends and needs of the industry.

The program started with lighting the lamp by the dignitaries and the address by Director SIBM-Nagpur, Dr Shrirang Altekar.

The program was graced by several senior executives from the industry with names like Shailesh Wadhankar, VP Salesforce, Persistent; Capt. Pranab Prasoon Thakur, head HR, Hindustan Coca Cola Ltd.; Sajesh Jyothiprakash, VP JP Morgan;

Mr. Shailesh Wadhankar while addressing the students, elaborated about change in working pattern post pandemic. He focused on the challenges that the industry is facing in bringing back people to workplace.

Capt. Pranab Prasoon Thakur emphasized on focusing on learning new skills and also on team work. He correlated the army discipline with the success of business. He further elaborated on leading by setting an example. He also shared as how covid taught us that we have to go with the flow sometimes as we don’t have any solution for a situation.

Sajesh Jyothiprakash shared his experience as to how technology plays an important role in today’s environment. He also focused on various investment patterns, market analysis of latest trends etc. He motivated students to develop their skills and focus on their goals.

All the sessions were followed by question and answer by students and faculties to all the dignitaries present.

The day ended with learnings and sharing of experiences.

Civil Engineering Department celebrated Engineer’s Day 2022, followed by Guest Lecture under ARTEX Forum in association with Institution of Engineers (India) Students’ Chapter on September 17.

Civil Engineering Department of Tulsiramji Gaikwad–Patil College of Engineering and Technology, (an autonomous Institute) Nagpur, celebrated Engineer’s Day 2022 followed by Guest Lecture by the invited Chief Guest for the event Dr Srikant Annavarapu, Director, Master Geotech Services Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur. The expert has highlighted the role of engineers in nation building, infrastructure development and taking the leadership towards achieving sustainable development goals.

He also motivated the students to take final year project as a challenge to solve real life practical problems. The targeted objectives of the project should be to provide efficient solutions to the problems of society with locally available resources.

Dr. Mohan Gaikwad-Patil, Chairman GPG, Prof. Sandeep Gaikwad, Treasurer, GPGI, Dr A V Kale, Principal, Prof. Pragati Patil, Vice-Principal, appreciated the faculty members for their inspirational work done and congratulated the students for active participation in the Guest Lecture as well as for the successful completion of the program. Efforts taken by Prof. Aasif Baig, Head of Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Panna Lal Kurmi, Program Coordinator, Prof. Divyani Harpal, Prof. Sanjay Bhadke, Prof. Amey Khedikar, Prof. Mohitsingh Katoch, Prof. Priyanka Petkar; proved instrumental in conducting the program successfully. Prof. Divyani Harpal did anchoring for the program successfully. All faculty members and students of TGPCET attended Guest Lecture prominently.

Extra-curricular skill development workshops were conducted by Tirpude Institute of Management education for first and second year BBA and BCCA students from September 19 to September 21 2022 in the college premises.

 Various workshops conducted at Tirpude College on relevant and trendy topics were:

  1. Dance was conducted by Alister Anthony
  2. Mocktail Making was conducted by Bhushan Kolte
  3. Make-up for girls was conducted by Pooja Maniyar
  4. Biking for boys was conducted by Anukaran Singh
  5. Content Writing was conducted by Simran Thakwani
  6. Vlogging was conducted by Ani Ray
  7. Zumba was conducted by Adarsh Tiwari
  8. Mental Health was conducted by Dr Bharti Gidwani
  9. Anchoring was conducted by Satyam Agrawal

The skill enhancement workshops were conducted by industry experts who have great knowledge in their particular domains. The different workshop sessions were enjoyed by 305 students.  The workshops in- charge were Prof. Payal Pandey and Prof. Rohan Malik. The workshops were conducted under the guidance of Prof. Carol Rao (UG Program coordinator).
