I don’t limit myself till there’s a physical limitation, but during my pregnancy, there were a lot of limitations: Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt

Be it promoting her films ‘Darlings’ and ‘Brahmastra’ to shooting her first Hollywood action film, ‘Heart of Stone’, Alia Bhatt did it all during her pregnancy. The actress even chose not to reveal anyone about her pregnancy in the first 12 weeks, and continued working.

There was a time when Alia would be seen working ‘day and night’ with her baby bump. “I don’t limit myself till there’s a physical limitation. But when I was pregnant, there were a lot of limitations. So, I decided to take things easy and also listen to my body. For me, work has always been important, but my baby and health was my priority too,” said Alia and added, “So, I only did things I was comfortable with. The first few weeks were a little difficult due to nausea and had major exhaustion. But I didn’t speak about it as I was told not to reveal about my pregnancy. I had to keep this news within myself, but I was listening to my body as well.”

Alia expressed how she took care of her health during her pregnancy. “Whenever needed, I would take short breaks between my shots, like taking power naps or rest. I would rest as much as possible and finish my work commitments. Then, in January 2022, I signed ‘Heart of Stone’, my first Hollywood movie. I didn’t want to back out so I managed to match the schedule. I spoke to the team and they assured me that they would take good care of me. Trust me, I managed to shoot my first action film during pregnancy. For sure, I would tell this story for a long time,” expressed Alia.

AR Rahman

SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ has been making news for the past few weeks. Be it winning Golden Globe for the song ‘Naatu Naatu’ or being nominated for Oscars 2023, composer MM Keeravani is a national name now. The Oscar-Golden Globe-Grammy awards winner, AR Rahman said, spoke about MM Keeravani in a recent interview.

Expressing that Keeravani is ‘underrated’, he said, “You know what? MM Keeravani is a great composer, it’s just that he’s underrated. And I’m not sure if it’s true, Keeravani wanted to quit music in 2015 and retire. In fact, that’s when his career had actually started. And everyone noticed it. I believe when someone thinks their life is over, that’s when your life starts. You just need to live. I even tell my kids the same, ‘that gentleman (Keeravani), who’s been in the industry for 35 years, wanted to quit so early when his career actually started at that point.”

This video of Rahman’s interview about Keeravani has been appreciated on social media. And many users have also praised him for his positive and inspirational statements. Moreover, Keeravani will be conferred with Padma Shri this year, who once thought of quitting and wanted to retire in 2015.

To complete my film ‘Emergency’, I mortgaged every single thing I owned: Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut finished the shoot of her much awaited film ‘Emergency’ recently. But finishing this film wasn’t an easy journey for the actress. She went through a lot of ups and downs while finishing this period drama where she plays former PM, Indira Gandhi.

Talking about all the difficulties she faced to complete the film, Kangana recently said, “Whatever task I take up, I make sure I finish it. But to finish the film, I had to mortgage all my properties, every single thing I owned as I am also banking the film as a producer. Moreover, mortgaging all my property to complete the film wasn’t a big deal. I am someone who makes all my big decisions within minutes. The main struggle was running to banks back-to-back while shooting the film. Somehow, it hampers your work big time.”

Kangana, who made her entry into Bollywood with ‘Gangster’ in 2006, also spoke about her initial days in Bollywood. “When I came to Mumbai, I had only ₹500. So, if I lose all my property after ‘Emergency’ release and I’m completely ruined, it won’t matter much. I am very confident and strong enough to stand up on my feet once again and bounce back. Such possessions hold no meaning for me to be frank,” said Kangana to the paparazzi during the ‘Emergency’ wrap-up party held recently.

Javed Akhtar

Be it ‘Sholay’, ‘Don’, ‘Zanjeer’ or ‘Deewaar’, Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar have worked together in many such iconic films. And lyricist Javed Akhtar revealed how it was writer Salim who encouraged him to become a screenwriter.

In an interview recently, the lyricist revealed that he wanted to become a director before becoming a writer and a lyricist. Talking about his friendship with Salim Khan, Javed said, “Salim saab was one of those few friends who encouraged me to become a writer. The plus point was I used to live in a room which was close to his home, hence I would visit him often. Had I been living somewhere else, I doubt if I would be able to meet him regularly.”

Adding more about his years-long association with Salim Khan and why they stopped working together, Javed added, “In our struggling days, we were like ‘one team’. We didn’t have any friends, hence we would be together from morning till evening and even work together. Even our dinners would be together, in fact, out of 24 hours, we would be together for at least 15-16 hours a day. But once we tasted success, new people entered our lives and gradually our circle changed. Hence, the rapport we had broke and we couldn’t work together further.”
