Happy Street: An exhilarating project by Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision

Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision executed yet another heartwarming project , ‘Happy Street’ on the October 15. RCNV’s first ever ‘Happy School – Snehangan’ for specially abled, and Saoner Deaf and Dumb School, presented a spell-bound Talent show. Dancing, singing, yoga and various other creative talents by the children were a treat to watch.

A ‘Happy Street’ was created at the corridor wherein they enjoyed various games, tattoos, selfie corner, music, fun and laughter . The magic show was a super treat for one and all . The smiles on the faces of the specially abled children was a Diwali gift for the entire audience of RCNV members, spouses, Rotakids and other guests. The fire crackers sponsored by Rtn Sohel Amin, set in Diwali vibes.

The gifts and goodies were distributed to all the children . These were sponsored by Rtn Akshay Daga , Rtn Dhawal Jain , Ann Jigna Thakkar and Ann Duriya Akolawala. Rtn Aarouni Verma donated generously for the Happy School .
The decor was done by Event Story – Divya Gianchandani. The sumptuous snacks were served to one and all – courtesy RCNV and Rtn Rupam Mullack .

President Shivani Sule , Sec Ritika Singhvi supported the event. RCNV expresses gratitude to all the seniors, volunteers, the staff of Saoner Deaf and Dumb School and Happy School – Snehangan , Matru Seva Sangh for support. Special thanks was delivered to Rtn Jaishree Chhabrani for this brilliant idea and planning the entire event and Director Sandeep Duragkar for all his support to execute it flawlessly.

After turning five, Shah Rukh Khan fan club – FANs of SRK NAGPUR – again set out to feed the underprivileged kids in Nagpur.

“There’s no other way for us to celebrate our idol Shah Rukh Khan and our fan club that’s dedicated to him. We have learnt compassion, generosity and humility from SRK himself. How can we not celebrate him and our fan club his way?,” quipped Khalid Ahmed, founder at FANs of SRK NAGPUR.

Ahmed founded the fan club in 2018 along with some of his friends in Nagpur with an intention to show his love towards the superstar, promote his films and do charity by helping the underprivileged from time to time.

After completing five years of FANs of SRK NAGPUR, Ahmed, along with his club members, again set out to feed the underprivileged. The fan club also took to twitter to share the same.

The tweet read, “Started like a fan of SRK and today on the occasion of completing 5 years of our club, we celebrated the day by distributing snacks in the name of our Idol.”

Rotary Club of Nagpur provides tools and gadgets to support blind, partially blind people

Rotary Club of Nagpur North showed support to blind and partially blind people at Atmadeepam Society. They provided multiple gadgets and tools to help the differently abled.

These gadgets and tools will help the blind and partially blind to receive professional training for mainstream jobs. The aim of these training workshops is to give equal opportunities to differently abled people.

The project was done in the presence of President Jyotika Kapoor, Secretary projects Aliakbbar Maimun, and Treasurer Harleen Oberoi.

‘Umang Ke Rang’ a unique talent show was organised by Ashrita Mahila Mandal (Nagpur Mahila Club). An organisation working for the empowerment of Women and Children for last 20 years. The show was held on 26th November at Niyogi Hall, LAD College, Shankar Nagar .

The motto of this event was to increase social inclusion of people with disabilities. They did so by bringing to stage various forms of cultural expressions performed by people with disabilities. To increase personal confidence and empower people with disabilities.

Around 140 specially abled, including intellectually challenged from SVK Shikshan Sanstha and other organizations,
visually challenged from different blind schools, Deaf & Dumb school from Saoner, physically challenged enthralled audience with their performances like fashion show, solo and group dances, solo and group singing, and played musical instruments.

This event was organised in association with University Women’s Association Nagpur (UWAN), LAD College, CRC Nagpur and Federation of Special Care Dentistry. President Aashrita Mahila Mandal, Vilasini Nair rendered a welcome note while Dr Harsha Jharia, CAO LAD College, and Dr Pathak, President of UWAN were prominently present. Chief guest Dr Urmila Kshirsagar, Director Niramay Bahu Uddeshiya Sanstha, Nagpur, enlightened the audience with her valuable words.

Guest of honour, Mr Jaisingh K Chouhan, Director, Ranjana Group of Industries Pvt Ltd shared his life experiences as a successful Divyang and motivated the participants. Mrs Gayathri Vatsalya, President, SVK Shikshan Sanstha and Dr Dini Menon, Secretary, and team Ashrita Mahila Mandal successfully co-ordinated the programme.

Oral care kits were distributed by Federation of Special Care Dentistry ( FSCD)

All the participants were presented with gifts, certificates and snack boxes.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Isha Verma and Anita Kaul Bose, Vice President, Aashrita Mahila Mandal.
Parents, teachers and general public attended the event in large numbers and applauded the participants.
