BREAKING: Over 120 Ghulam Nabi Azad loyalists in J&K likely to rejoin Congress ahead of Bharat Jodo Yatra
In a major boost for the Congress, a host of senior leaders who had quit the party along with Ghulam Nabi Azad, returned to the party on Friday morning, January 6, ahead of Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra entering J&K.
Considered Azad loyalists former J&K Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and Balwan Singh, returned to Congress including former minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed and Muzaffar Parray, among others.
Earlier, Chand and Balwan Singh had left Congress to join Azad’s Democratic Azad Party. However, Azad had expelled a few of them last month for anti-party activities.

Reportedly, other leaders who have rejoined the party are Mohinder Bhardwaj, Chander Prabha Sharma, Mujaffar Parray, Anuradha Sharma, Narinder Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Subash Bhagat, Bhushan Dogra, Vinod Sharma, Badri Nath Sharma, Varun Magotra, Ambrish Magotra, and Vijay Targotra.
