Bengaluru Police arrested actor Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor for allegedly consuming drugs at a party. Kapoor tested positive for drugs after cops raided a five-star hotel in Ulsoor, about 3km from the Central Business District on Sunday late night.

Officials said the cops raided a five-star hotel in Bengaluru based on a tip-off and 35 guests present at the party were taken into custody. All the guests were then subjected to a medical test.

“Siddhanth Kapoor, an actor cum an assistant director, is one among those who tested positive for drug consumption. We have detained all five and investigations are on,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Bheemashankar S Guled.

It has been said that Siddhanth, the 37-year-old brother of actor Shraddha Kapoor, was invited as a DJ at a party organised in the Park Hotel’s pub where he allegedly consumed drugs.

Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis slammed the opposition MLAs after CM Eknath Shinde-led government win the trust vote in the assembly. Countering the charge that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was misused to effect the change in government, Fadnavis said: “People taunt that it’s an ED government. Yes, it’s an ED government, of Eknath-Devendra.”

Earlier in the day, opposition MLAs shouted ‘ED, ED’ when rebels from Shiv Sena supported Eknath Shinde during the trust vote, which he won 164-99, increasing the winning margin from the speaker’s election held yesterday. Some of these MLAs or their families are facing investigations by the ED, an agency under the BJP-led central government.

A shocking video of a man violently attacking a dog and his three neighbours with an iron rod in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area has surfaced online. The man reportedly got angry after the dog barked at him.

The injured family members are reported to be receiving treatment. Rakshit, one of the family members, earlier said that he filed a complaint but a First Information Report (FIR) was yet to be filed. The dog has a clot in the head following the attack.

A video, which was shared by news agency ANI, shows the man heading to a home in a fit of anger in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar. He is followed by a woman and both of them are seen locked in a fight as he picks up a rod. After they fall to the ground, a disturbing standoff ensues. The woman holds on to the man’s foot as he attacks her with the rod. Later, two other men come to help her when the attacker leaves.
