A glimpse of Miss LAD 2023 Personality Contest in Nagpur…

Here's a glimpse of Miss LAD Personality Contest 2023 in Nagpur that took place on Thursday, March 2 at LAD College.

The much happening event of the Orange City Personality Contest Ms. L.A.D 2022-23 was held on 2nd  March at Shankar Nagar Campus. The contest  is being organized since last twenty years. It has gained popularity and is now witnessed by thousands in its present grandeur. The parameters for judgment are not just based on height, weight and looks. The sole idea behind this contest is to appreciate girls’ hidden talent in every field and help enhance their personality. Noticeably there is an amazing transformation of the contestants over the period of three  months. The platform and training gives an impetus to their confidence a boost to their morale and prepare them to face the challenges of life.

Here's a glimpse of Miss LAD Personality Contest 2023 in Nagpur that took place on Thursday, March 2 at LAD College.

The 19 contestants from final year of different faculty were selected during  auditions. During the arduous training period  the participants underwent many sessions of training by prominent trainers – Dr. Harsha Jharia, , Ms. Sonal Trivedi Malkhan and Ms. Payal Chanchalani.They all trained the contestants for the ramp walk, answering out of the box questions, novel way of introducing themselves , All round Personality Development and dancing  elegantly to the foot tapping Zumba. Mrs. Swati Banerjee from Australia took session on Communication Skills and emphasized the importance of looks  and gave them various beauty tips for inner and outer glow. Dr. Meenakshi Kulkarni guided the students on SWOT Analysis, Grooming Etiquettes and Manners, Positive Attitude and Stage Presence.

As part of the Competition talent round was conducted where the girls showcased amazing performances  of their hidden talents.

The program was compeered by Kanak Dandige, Anam Khan, Nafisa Raja, Janvi Revo, Riddhi Loya & Astha Pandey. 

 The Music directors were Bhavna Joshi & Ira Patrale 

The judges of competition were Mrs Varsha Manohar, Dr. Vartika Patil,  Dr. Sudhir Bhave, Mrs. Vinita Bhatia & Mrs. Surbhi Shirpurkar. The event had three rounds. The first round was introduction round where the lovely ladies introduced themselves in a unique style. The next round was top  ten, where the contestants gave witty and out of the box answers as a response to the judges questions. On the basis of the answers given they moved on to the final round of common question for deciding winner

The Program Director is Dr. Harsha Jharia,  Chief Admin Officer of Women’s Education Society. 

The programme was carried out under the able supervision and under the guidance of Director Dr. Shyamla Nair, the Principal Dr. Pooja Pathak, Dr. Nanda Rathi, Nandita Sapra and Dr. Ruta Dharmadhikari.

RCNV provides sponsorship to 5 children

Under the aegis of Diabetes patronage program at AIIMS, Rotary Club of Nagpur Vision – RCNV – members sponsored five children for this financial year by handing over a cheque of ₹1,25,000 to the Director of AIIMS Maj. Gen (Dr ) Vibha Dutta, SM.

This project takes care of all the needs like insulin, glucometer,special diet and other consumables required by the children suffering from the dreaded and debilitating disease type 1 diabetes.

President Shivani interacted with the authorities and incharge of the project Dr Meenakshi and her team. Joint secretary Dr Akshay Daga interacted with the beneficiary children and their parents exhorting the importance of discipline during the treatment.

President elect Ajay, secretary Ritika and Rtn. Arouni Verma were amongst those who were present at AIIMS, nagpur. Dr Sangeeta and Dr Akash conducted the proceedings. The gratitude felt by the parents and their blessings to our team exemplified the importance of this endeavour in shaping the lives of children suffering from type 1 diabetes.

DPS MIHAN was awarded with the Literary Leadership Excellence Award for the enthusiastic participation in Nagpur.

Delhi Public School MIHAN was awarded with the Literary Leadership Excellence Award for the enthusiastic participation of its students in the National Young Authors Fair – the World’s largest Book Writing Competition held by BriBooks and powered by Education World.

More than 90 budding writers of the school availed the benefits of the excellent opportunity provided by the AI-assisted BriBooks platform which helped them to hone their storytelling skills .The plethora of creative designs helped the students to work on the illustrations needed for designing their novel. The pleasure of publishing one’s own novel and reaching out to the global readers was a thrilling experience for the budding authors.

The students also got an exposure to sell the books online and earn Author Royalty as a remuneration. The books published by several DPS MIHAN students have achieved milestones and won rewards in the categories of Best Author – Jury Awards for Content and Creativity, Best Selling Author Awards in the State and Global Feature Awards for International recognition.

The jury and guest list comprised of HE Noor Gilon,Ambassador of Israel, Saul Singer – Author of Best Seller ‘ Start -up Nation’ ,Dele Olojede- Pulitzer prize winner and Navyn Salem- Founder & CEO Edesia.

President and Pro-Vice Chairperson Ms.Tulika Kedia and Director Ms.Savita Jaiswal have congratulated the Principal Ms.Nidhi Yadav, staff and students for their sincere efforts to achieve this recognition.

17 test positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours in Nagpur

In a major concern, a total of 17 patients tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday in Nagpur in past 24 hours.

A total of 17 patients tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagpur in past 24 hours on Tuesday. Almost 96 people were tested in the city, out of which 31 belonged to urban area while and 65 were from the rural areas, and one from outside Nagpur district. There were 53 active patients in the city including 39 from rural areas and three from outside.

India recorded a single-day rise of 2,151 new COVID-19 cases, the highest in five months, according to the Union health ministry. As per the data updated, the active cases increased to 11,903 on Wednesday.
